When reality kicks in...

I'm more exhausted than usual today. After over a weeks Easter break under the theme "unpacking" I went back to work and the girls went back to daycare. For two weeks ahead we have to bring them through the whole city, everyday from northwest to south where their daycare is. And Stockholm traffic in rush-hour is nothing I recommend to be stuck in with two tired, whiny, little girls...

Lucky for us I bumped into a woman at the park the other day and it turned out that she runs a home daycare around the corner from where we now live and she was locking for two girls to join her group... Yes please, take care off them! So in less than two weeks from now they're going to begin at this new home daycare. I'm really pleased and excited but in the same time worried. This is the worst with moving, the nerve wrecking fact that I have to hand over my children to a total stranger and just pray that they're going to accept it... And that this stranger is a decent woman with good values and a tender but firm hand... Oh the hardships of being a parent...

Goodmorning!

Good thing it was today we changed to summertime and lost an hour... Otherwise the girls would have woke us up at 4 am. Thank god it was 5 am instead...

Yes, I'm tired and ironic...

Joyeuse Pâque!

Instead of the traditional Easter buffet we ate fresh shrimps with asparagus salad and aioli. Totally awesome!

We're alive!

We're alive and kicking in our new home in the suburb. We're in a state of chaos, living amongst boxes, cables, clothes, unpaid bills, toys and wrapping paper that covers our floors making our home far from childproof...

Last Friday we received all our stuff from Canada, that means our whole household gods that we've been without for over a year. Interesting to discover all our "old" things, some missed and some forgotten...

At our new park around the corner:

And of course, the mandatory visit to IKEA when realizing that we can't live without a showercurtain, a trash bin and the princess cake...

I promise to add more pics off the house when we're a bit more organized, for now: Happy Easter!

Chit chat on a Thursday night.

Yesterday we saw "Searching for sugar man" and I was so tired I could fall asleep standing up but it was so fascinating I watched the whole thing before collapsing. See it if you can, it's certainly one of a kind.

Now I'm waiting for tomorrow when the big move is taking place. I'm feeling upset in a weird way - excited, happy and so tired that I could sleep for a decade and it's all a bit confusing. I kind a feel like crying, laughing and sleeping at the same time... OK, I'm not making any sense, bottom line - my next blog post will be from a very nice little house in a suburb in Stockholm!!!

To my Swedish readers...

A Big Week.

This is the last week at our friends place and the first week at our own place. On Friday we are finally moving in and all our furniture and personal belongings are arriving from Canada. It all feels unreal and a bit to good to be true... A bussy week in a snowy, cold but beautiful Stockholm...
